Aims
During their time at Rushcombe First School, we have the following aims for all children:

- To develop key skills, knowledge and understanding across the broad curriculum, including the core areas of mathematics, writing and reading.

- To know how to be a successful learner by developing dispositions such as resilience and adaptability.
- To develop key values, including respect for diversity and care for the environment.
- To develop the skills of reasoning and collaborative dialogue as a means to develop thinking.
- To know that their voice is important and to have the opportunity to communicate their ideas, thoughts and emotions through a range of expressive forms.

- To be nurtured within a mutually respectful and positive relationship between home and school.
