Talk Together Time
At Rushcombe First School, we believe it is important that every child has the opportunity to share their ideas about how they would like to see our school develop. The child’s voice is crucial, because the child brings their own unique perspective. Our ‘Talk Together Time’ is our equivalent of a school council, enabling each child to contribute to the development of our school. Areas of focus that might be explored could include the development of playtimes, analysing teaching and learning or developing ideas for the school’s Learning Adventures.
By providing each child with a voice through our ‘Talk Together Time’ sessions, we seek to demonstrate to the child that their voice is valued and listened to. We aim to develop their sense of pride, ownership and responsibility for a school that they are central in creating.
